Cops Find Body At Construction Site

Hyderabad: The body of a security guard, Dasari Raju, was found in a pool of blood at an under-construction building near Gachibowli crossroads, Gachibowli inspector Mohd Habeebullah Khan said. Police said a worker had informed Raju's employer, who called the police. Raju had injuries on his forehead. An iron rod, suspected to be the weapon used, was found nearby with blood stains. Hyderabad: G. Gnaneshwar, an autorickshaw driver, died allegedly of electrocution while trying to fix a flexi at Bhagyanagar Colony in Kukatpally at around 1 pm on Tuesday, Kukatpally SI Ramakrishna said. He had climbed the arch pole to fix the banner for the forthcoming Guru Purnima, when the mishap occurred. Hyderabad:Panic prevailed at the City Civil Court complex at Purani Haveli on Tuesday morning following an anonymous email warning of a bomb placed on the premises. As a result, court proceedings were halted and the premises were evacuated by the Mirchowk police. Separately, an email threat was received at Raj Bhavan, following which place was evacuated and four bomb squads, along with local police, conducted thorough checks. Nothing suspicious was found, Panjagutta police confirmed. Police teams, including the bomb disposal squad and dog squads, rushed to the Purani Haveli court complex and conducted a thorough search after cordoning off the complex. After an extensive search, no explosives were found and the all-clear was sounded. The mail was received at 3.15 am and was noticed by officials around 11 am, in which the sender claimed that four RDX-based improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were planted at the premises. Mirchowk Inspector Rachakonda Ravinder said that the sender claimed to be a student from Anna University and alleged that the threat was an attempt to expose illegal activities of certain big shot politicians in Tamil Nadu. As a precautionary measure, the Marredpally police tightened security near the Civil Court in Secunderabad said inspector Venkatesh Nomula. Hyderabad:Twelve people fell sick after allegedly consuming adulterated toddy in Kukatpally, on Tuesday evening. One person was on a ventilator and two others were undergoing treatment. Eight others were stated to be out of danger. The Malkajgiri excise superintendent said the medical reports were yet to confirm whether the ill-health was caused due to the consumption of adulterated toddy. The superintendent said that a case would be registered after receiving medical reports.
