JAISALMER: A two-page suicide note recovered Wednesday has revealed that a long-running property dispute drove Shivlal (35), his wife Kavita (32), and their sons Bajrang (9) and Ramdev (8) to die by suicide in Undu village, Barmer. The family jumped into a water tank near their home on Tuesday night. The note, written three days earlier and dated June 29, blamed Shivlal's younger brother Mangilal and their mother Kamla for the crisis.The dispute centred around a govt-allotted house in Kamla's name, located opposite their ancestral home. Shivlal wanted to retain new house while handing over ancestral one to Mangilal. However, both Kamla and Mangilal disagreed, with the mother reportedly backing Mangilal, deepening the family rift. Shivlal asked in the note that Mangilal's family be held accountable and requested that his last rites be performed outside their house.
