Promoted RAS officers to retain current posts: Govt | Jaipur News - Times of India

Jaipur: Recently promoted to the IAS cadres, 16 RAS officers have been directed to continue working in their current postings until further notice. The directive from the Union ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions, comes even as some officers were found absent from their offices in anticipation of new posting orders following their promotion. Thursday's DOP order indicates that an IAS reshuffle is unlikely in the near future. The promotion of RAS officers to IAS rank was expected to provide some much-needed relief to the state govt in distributing responsibilities amid several senior IAS officers who have been given additional charge of multiple portfolios. tnn
