New Delhi: Odisha-cadre IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav will be the new Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) cleared the appointment of Yadav, a 1996-batch IAS officer who is presently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. Yadav's appointment will be in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Yadav succeeds Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, who has been reassigned to the Department of Personnel and Training, under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.
