Ahmedabad: The city stayed cool at a maximum temperature of 31.8°C and minimum of 25.3°C as a blanket of clouds and 7mm of rain kept the temperatures pleasantly low on Thursday. While Ahmedabad anticipates more light to moderate showers on Friday, the true force of the monsoon was felt across North Gujarat, where several talukas were drenched by heavy to very heavy downpours. Idar in Sabarkantha led the charge with a whopping 140mm, followed closely by Dhanera (116mm) in Banaskantha and Jamkandorna (110mm) in Rajkot.
