On the sidelines of the organisation's conference, Mr. Vikramaraja said, the exorbitant GST on rent had made business unsustainable. Pushing ahead with the demand, the TNVSP would launch State-wide demonstrations on December 11 in all the district headquarters. Mr. Vikramaraja said the protests would be escalated to a total bandh if their demands were not met. The traders outfit would also push for a ban on big retail chain stores in Tamil Nadu, for they were hurting the small businesses of retail trade.
