Woman tied to pole, attacked over waste disposal dispute | Mysuru News - Times of India

Shivamogga: A 67-year-old woman was allegedly tied to a pole and physically assaulted by her neighbours after she objected to waste disposal in front of her residence at Gowthamapur village of Sagar taluk, Shivamogga district.On Saturday, Huchamma, 67, confronted her neighbour, Prema, regarding waste disposal in front of her residence, according to police. The incident took a violent turn when Prema, accompanied by her husband Manjunath and son Darshan, allegedly abused Huchamma. They later allegedly dragged her from her house, tied her to a pole, and physically assaulted her, Huchamma told police.Following the attack, Huchamma lodged a complaint with Anandapura police. A case was registered and the accused were booked, Shivamogga SP GK Mithun Kumar said.Huchamma's son, Kannappa, requested police protection for his parents whilst expressing his distress over the incident.
