Bhubaneswar: A fresh low-pressure area likely to form over the Bay of Bengal by Sunday is expected to bring widespread rain in north Odisha districts until July 4, the IMD said on Saturday.IMD has issued warning for heavy rain and thundershower in 16 districts, while very heavy rain is likely in Keonjhar, Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts until Monday, after which the intensity may reduce."An upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal persisted over the same region and extended up to 7.6km above mean sea level, tilting southwestwards with height. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Bangladesh and West Bengal by Sunday.
