HYDERABAD: The Telangana high court set aside the suspension of Bijai Durga Rath, administrative manager of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), terming it illegal and arbitrary. Justice EV Venugopal directed the HCA to reinstate him and also pay pending salary arrears. Bijai was suspended on Dec 7, 2023, via an official letter and email, citing an ongoing investigation. The judge said the suspension order was issued without authority, as only the Apex Council or CEO has the power to take disciplinary action under HCA's 2018 bylaws. Justice Venugopal held that due process was not followed, rendering the suspension invalid.

Mumbai, July 1 (SocialNews.XYZ) Tata Motors on Tuesday reported an 8.47 per cent decline in total sales as the carmaker sold 2,10,415 units in the April-June quarter of FY26, compared to 2,29,891 units sold during the same period previous year (Q1 FY25).
