UDHAMPUR, June 7: Two notorious drug peddlers were arrested with heroin by Police in Rehambal area of Udhampur, here today. While performing routine vehicle checking duty at Phalata Naka point, a Police team from Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Sohan Singh, apprehended two persons who were trying to hide from the police team thus arousing suspicion. Upon conducting a thorough frisking of both the persons, police team recovered 5.1 grams of heroin like contraband substance from their possession following which both of them were arrested on the spot. The arrested accused have been identified as Sonu, son of Charagu Ram of Dugli, Chopra Shop, Udhampur and Vishal Kumar, son of Mani Ram of Meghani, Udhampur. A case vide FIR No. 78/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered against them at Police Station Rehambal.

Jaipur: Police in Didwana have stepped up their probe into a cross-border smuggling case in which they arrested two arms and drug smugglers on June 27 for supplying Austrian Glock and Chinese Norinco pistols. Chandigarh: As part of its intensified anti-drug campaign, Punjab Police on Saturday arrested 132 drug smugglers and seized 1.3 kg of heroin, along with Rs 1.5 lakh in drug proceeds. Shillong, Aug 21 (PTI) Drugs worth more than Rs 412 crore have been seized in Meghalaya over the past five years and over a thousand people arrested in connection with trafficking, officials said on Thursday.
