Coimbatore: The recent showers have filled waterbodies in the Noyyal river system to the brim with the water overflowing from the Chithirai Chavadi check dam.An official from the water resources department said, "At present, the inflow to the check dam is around 750 cusecs. Except for Perur Periyakulam and the small tank in Kuniyamuthur, all other lakes dependent on the Noyyal are at full capacity. We are now diverting water to these two lakes."
