S'kantha, Anand top in excess rain | Ahmedabad News - Times of India

Ahmedabad: The state has received overall 115% more rainfall compared to normal in June, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD) data on Monday. Among the districts with the highest departure from normal, Sabarkantha had 269% excess rain, followed by 218% in Anand, 193% in Panchmahal, 182% in Chhota Udepur and 168% each for Narmada and Aravalli, among others.IMD data indicates that out of 33 districts (according to the IMD website), 29 districts recorded 60% or more excess rainfall.
