Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2026 Declared: Here Are The District-Wise Toppers List

Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2026 Out: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially declared the 2nd PUC Exam 1 results for 2026 today, April 9. The announcement was made during a press conference held by Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa, marking the end of anticipation for over 7 lakh students across the state. The toppers names will be announced at the press conference. A total of 86% of students have passed the Second PUC examination this year, up from 73.45% last year, recording a sharp increase in the pass percentage. Vaishnavi, a student of Jnanasudha PU College in Karkala, Udupi district, topped the science stream by scoring 597 out of 600 marks. Also, Arnavi also from the same college, scored 597 out of 600 in the science stream. Disha, a student of Alva's College in Dakshina Kannada district, has secured first place in the state by scoring 600 out of 600 marks in the commerce stream. The KSEAB has reduced the minimum passing requirement from 35% to 30% for this year, offering relief to many students. Those who are not satisfied with their scores will have the option to apply for scrutiny once the window opens. Students are advised to stay updated with official announcements and regularly check reliable platforms for the latest information on compartment exams and further procedures. In 2025, Udupi district had recorded the highest success rate with a 93.90% pass percentage, while Yadgir remains at the bottom with 48.45%. Girls have outscored boys this year. The performance of individual toppers, districts and colleges shows major differences across Karnataka. Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 district-wise performance Coastal districts dominated the Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025, with Udupi and Dakshina Kannada leading the table. Udupi posted 93.90%, followed closely by Dakshina Kannada with 93.57%. Several Bengaluru and Malnad districts also reported strong results, while many northern districts, including Yadgir and Kalaburagi, stayed well below the state average. The district performance pattern again highlights a sharp gap between coastal, urban and some northern regions. Yadgir's 48.45% pass rate is the lowest in the state and points to continuing issues in access, infrastructure and academic support. The detailed district-wise pass percentage for the Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 is given below. Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 stream and rank toppers The Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 has produced several near-perfect scores in the Science stream. Amulya Kamath from Expert PU College, Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada, topped the state Science list with 599 out of 600 marks. The Science toppers' strong scores show the competitive nature of this stream. Sharing that top score of 599, R. Deeksha from Vagdevi PU College, Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, was placed second. Close behind, Bindu Navale scored 598 marks and secured third rank. Two more Science students, Raja Yaduvanshi Yadav and Vijeth G. Gowda, also scored 598, taking the fourth and fifth ranks. In the Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 Commerce list, Deepashree from Canara PU College, Dakshina Kannada, achieved 599 out of 600. In the Arts stream, Sanjana Bai from Indu PU College, Bellary, scored 597 marks. These stream toppers underline strong performances beyond Science, especially from coastal and north Karnataka institutions. Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 gender and region analysis Girls have again performed better than boys in the Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025. Out of 3,45,694 girls who appeared, 2,69,212 passed, giving a pass percentage of 77.88%. Among 2,92,111 boys, 1,99,227 cleared the exams, which is noticeably lower. Bengaluru and nearby districts saw strong results alongside the coastal belt. Bangalore South recorded a pass percentage of 85.36%, while Bangalore North reported 83.31%. Kodagu achieved 83.84%, and Uttara Kannada stood at 82.93%. These urban and semi-urban areas stayed well above the state average in the Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025. Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 college-wise performance and initiatives The Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 figures also show a clear difference between types of colleges. Government PU colleges registered a pass percentage of 57.11%, while aided PU colleges achieved 62.69%. Unaided PU colleges performed better with 82.66%, and BBMP PU colleges reported 68.88%. Divided PU colleges recorded a pass rate of 78.58%, and residential schools led among institutions with 86.18%. These Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025 numbers highlight how resources and academic support may differ between government, private and residential setups, especially for rural and first-generation learners. During the announcement of the Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025, Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa confirmed fee relief for repeat attempts. Students will not have to pay any exam fee for the second and third attempts this year. Special evening classes are planned in the Kalyana Karnataka region for supplementary exam preparation. Speaking about support for unsuccessful candidates, Madhu Bangarappa said, "Those who didn't clear have two more chances," and mentioned that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has backed the plan. Students have been asked to download and print their provisional marksheets for college admissions and counselling. Original marksheets will be issued by respective schools in the coming weeks.
