Chennai: Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi president T Velmurugan's remarks on TVK founder Vijay had invited sharp reactions from TVK functionaries. However, Velmurugan remained unfazed and warned Vijay to stop shadow boxing with him.In an event at Salem on June 1, Velmurugan said parents should not take their daughters to events like the one Vijay hosts and let them hug the actor. He also used the term 'koothadigal' while referring to Vijay. TVK functionaries hit back at Velmurugan demanding an apology from him and threatening to hold a protest if he fails to do so.Responding to TVK functionaires, Velmurugan on Thursday warned Vijay to instruct his fans to stop attacking him. Velmurugan recalled his early days when he was with radical organisations which opposed the union govt and authoritarianism and said Vijay should not underestimate him.
