Chandigarh: The Haryana cabinet on Wednesday approved a 35% hike in minimum wages across categories of workers, with the monthly wage for unskilled labourers rising from Rs 11,274.60 to Rs 15,220.The revised rates, approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, will come into effect from April 1, 2026, labour minister Anil Vij said.Under the new structure, the monthly wages of semi-skilled workers have been raised from Rs 12,430.18 to Rs 16,780.74, while those of skilled workers will go up from Rs 13,704.31 to Rs 18,500.81.Similarly, the wages of highly skilled workers have been increased from Rs 14,389.52 to Rs 19,425.85.Vij said the revision followed the implementation of the four new labour codes in the state on November 21, 2025.
