Mangaluru (Karnataka), Apr 8 (PTI) Nine persons were injured when a bus and a lorry collided near Gurupura here, police said on Wednesday. The accident occurred near Bhami School and is suspected to be due to the negligence of the lorry driver. The bus was travelling from Mangaluru to Moodbidri, while the lorry was coming from the opposite direction. Seven passengers sustained injuries and were admitted to hospitals here. The drivers of both vehicles were also seriously injured, taking the total number of injured to nine, police said. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage in the impact. New Delhi, Jun 8 (PTI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will probe the murder of Hindu activist Suhas Shetty by a group of assailants in Mangaluru, Karnataka, last month, official sources said on Sunday. The Union Home Ministry has asked the federal anti-terror agency to probe the case related to the "targeted killing" of Shetty "with the intention to create terror in the minds of people", they said.
