Srinagar: Two more government employees were sacked in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday over their alleged ties with terror groups. Invoking provisions under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution, which allows dismissal without inquiry in the interest of state's security, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha terminated an education department employee Farhat Ali Khanday in Jammu's Ramban and Mohammad Shafi Dar from Bandipora of Rural Development department. He has been accused of working for Hizbul Mujahideen and had been using his government job as a cover to revive terrorism in the district, sources said. In 2011, Farhat was arrested after he came under the scanner of security forces' for his involvement in dispensing terror funds. "He was put behind bars and came out on bail in October 2011, but he continued with terror activities," sources said. The second employee Mohammad Shafi Dar from Bandipora was working as a Class-IV employee in the Rural Development Department. He was appointed on compassionate grounds following the death of his father, who was working as a plantation watcher in the department. Investigation revealed that Mohammad Shafi Dar was working as a terror associate of LeT and was tasked to provide safe houses to terrorists, facilitate their movement and transportation.
