Punjab ex-minister's son rejoins SAD

Bathinda: Three days after resigning from SAD (Punar Surjit), former minister Tota Singh's son Barjinder Singh Brar Tuesday rejoined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) at the residence of party president Sukhbir Singh Badal at Badal village in Muktsar. He was accompanied by the entire Akali Dal leadership from Moga district. Brar, repenting his decision to join the SAD (Punar Surjit), said he was feeling relieved over the "ghar vapsi".Earlier, Barjinder Singh, who had twice unsuccessfully contested Assembly elections in 2017 and 2022 as SAD nominee from Moga constituency, while leaving the SAD (Punar Surjit) on Saturday, levelled allegations against party president Giani Harpreet Singh and MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali, accusing them of acting on the directions of Central agencies.Both Giani Harpreet Singh and Ayali had refuted the charges.Sukhbir Badal said with the homecoming of Barjinder Brar, the party would gain strength in Moga.
