Mumbai (Web Desk): Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has opened up about a disturbing experience from her childhood, revealing that she came across fake explicit images of herself on a website, which caused her severe mental stress. Speaking on a podcast, Janhvi said the incident happened while she was in school attending an IT class. She clarified that the images were not real but artificially created -- similar to deepfakes -- but even so, the experience exposed her to the negative side of fame at a very young age. The actress added that even today, such fake images and videos continue to circulate online, and sometimes people mistakenly share them as genuine, with even some credible platforms falling victim. Janhvi Kapoor also expressed concern over the growing use of AI-generated content on social media, noting that it can create problems not only personally but also professionally. She stressed the urgent need to regulate the misuse of modern technology and establish clear digital consent guidelines, highlighting that this issue affects many prominent public figures, not just her.
