Shillong, June 5 (UNI) The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local villagers continue searching for Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of murdered Madhya Pradesh tourist Raja Raghuvanshi, even as Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma says perpetrators would be booked and punished. "The government will leave no stone unturned in uncovering what exactly happened to the couple. Those responsible for the murder will be brought to book and punished," Sangma said. "We are working overtime to get to the fact of what exactly happened. Nothing is clear about the sequence of events as of now," the Chief Minister said, even as he promised the family members that they will get to the depths of the facts. Terming the incident as "unfortunate", the Chief Minister said, "This is something we have seen before in Meghalaya. We all know that Meghalaya has always been a tourist-friendly area, and their safety has been ensured." On the Raghuvanshi family's demand for a CBI probe, Sangma said that it is too early to comment on it. "It is too early to comment on what has happened, as there are too many links, and it is also too early to say how to move forward. But whatever has to be done will be done to see that the people who did this are brought to book," the Chief Minister stated.
