NEW DELHI: Referring to the importance of efforts to restore stability and security to the West Asia region, external affairs minister S Jaishankar stressed India's support for ongoing regional and international efforts to stop the war in a conversation with his Iran counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi, according to an Iranian readout released Monday.Apart from Araghchi, Jaishankar had on Sunday also spoken to his counterparts from Qatar and the UAE.According to Iran, Araghchi spoke about the "heinous crimes" committed by American and Israeli aggressors against the Iranian people, including attacks on Iran's industrial and production infrastructure, as well as its "peaceful and safeguarded nuclear facilities, and the continued rhetoric by American officials openly threatening to attack Iran's energy infrastructure".
