Shimla, April 6 (PTI) Inclement weather conditions prevailed in many parts of Himachal, resulting in scattered rains with Kasauli logging the highest rainfall at 31.2, the Met office said on Monday. According to the weather office, Dharampur received 29.8 mm of rain, followed by 29.5 mm in Sarahan, 25.8mm in Jubbarhatti, 24 mm in Jogindernagar, 20 mm each in Rohru and Solan, 17 mm in Bilaspur, 15.7 mm in Shilaroo, 14.6 mm in Mandi, 10.8 mm in Nagrota Suriyan and 8 mm in Shimla. An orange warning for hailstorm, thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds with speed of 40 to 60 kmph has been issued for isolated places in Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla and Solan on Tuesday and Wednesday. The meteorological department has issued a similar warning for Chamba and Sirmaur on Wednesday. It also issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms with lightning, gusty winds, speed of 40 to 60 kmph at isolated places in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Solan and Sirmaur on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Met station has predicted a wet spell in the state from April 6 to 9, with peak activity on April 8. Hailstorms are also likely in some parts of Himachal Pradesh from April 6 to 8, under the influence of two active western disturbances in quick succession, it added. It also predicted isolated spells of light to moderate rainfall/snowfall over most of the tourist destinations, including Manali, Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda, Solang Valley and Sissu on April 7and 8. Kota (Rajasthan), Jun 26 (PTI) Lightning strikes killed four people in separate incidents in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district on Thursday, officials said. In the Aklera area of the district, Premchand Meena and Kailash Tanwar died after being struck by lightning when they were working in their fields.
