Tamil Nadu Assembly Election: With just a few weeks remaining in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election, all the key political parties have intensified their campaigns. The pre-poll surveys have predicted that the MK Stalin-led DMK alliance is set to return to power comfortably. While the ruling alliance is likely to get above 170 out of the total 234 constituencies, the opposition AIADMK alliance is expected to win below 50 seats. Apart from this, the actor-turned-politician Vijay's TVK is set to register victory in around 10 constituencies. As per a survey by agency Lok Poll, the DMK alliance is likely to secure 181-189 seats with a 40.1 per cent vote share. The survey further suggested that the opposition alliance is expected to win around 40 seats, with 29 per cent of the vote share. The survey agency also predicted that the TVK will have its impact on the polls as the Vijay-led party is expected to register victory in around ten seats with a 23.9 per cent vote share.
