Coimbatore: BJP is fielding Vanathi Srinivasan, 55, in Coimbatore North constituency for the April 23 assembly election while Congress has named K P Surya Prakash,27, and V Shrinithi Mohan, 37, as its candidates Kavundampalayam and Singanallur, respectively. Both the parties released their candidates list on Friday. Vanathi, the sitting MLA of Coimbatore South, is the national president of the BJP women's wing. She contested in the Coimbatore South constituency in 2016 and 2021.
