SRINAGAR, Apr 2: A driver of a school van lost his life and two others were injured today when vehicle rammed into a shop near Ghanta Ghar at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, while students escaped unhurt. Click here to watch video The driver, identified as Javeed Ahmad, 47, a resident of Umair Abad, Bemina, sustained critical injuries and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital. An official said Ahmad lost control of the vehicle opposite SSI Bank, Lal Chowk, leading to the crash and causing multiple grievous injuries. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Two other persons sustained minor injuries in the incident and are currently undergoing treatment, with their condition reported to be stable. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation.
