Hyderabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday announced that the new Integrated Bhu Bharati (i-Bhu Bharati) portal will be expanded to one mandal in each district after a 45-day pilot phase in five mandals with necessary modifications. Launching the portal on a pilot basis at a gram sabha in Vithaipalle in Amangal mandal in Rangareddy district, Srinivas Reddy said the pilot project was being implemented in five select mandals, including Kusumanchi in Khammam, Aswaraopet in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Vatpally in Sangareddy, and Kosgi in Narayanpet districts. The minister said the portal would eliminate the need for citizens, especially farmers and the poor, to visit multiple government offices, as all land-related services would be accessible through smartphones. He added that as part of the second phase, a comprehensive survey will be conducted in 70 villages in each district, and a unique "Bhoodhar" number, similar to Aadhaar, will be assigned to every survey number. Taking a swipe at the previous BRS government, Srinivas Reddy said the Dharani portal had left around 9.52 lakh applications related to "Sada Bainama" unresolved. He said the present Congress government has taken steps to address these long-pending issues by issuing a government order to regularise such cases, ensuring that ownership rights are granted to those cultivating and possessing the land after obtaining their consent. He further stated that these provisions would also be extended to areas that have transitioned from gram panchayats to municipalities. The minister said 10,984 revenue villages have been grouped into clusters with the appointment of GPOs, and about 5,300 personnel have been trained in two phases over six months. Additionally, four to six licensed surveyors have been appointed in each mandal. He said modern technology is being deployed for land surveys, with 411 rovers already in use and another 400 to be added soon to ensure accuracy and transparency.
