Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh high court will hear the case relating to the dispute over the Bhojshala- Kamal Maula Mosque site in Dhar district in the state from April six. A division bench comprising Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla and Justice Alok Awasthi announced this while hearing the case on Thursday. The court has made it clear that it would first hear the petitioners in the case and then hear those pleas which objected to the survey report on the disputed site by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The supreme court, while disposing of a petition in this regard on Wednesday, referred the case back to the Madhya Pradesh high court, saying that all issues related to the case should be put before the Madhya Pradesh high court. The supreme court has also ordered to make the survey report on the dispute site prepared by the ASI available to all the parties in the case to put forth their views on it. The ASI had submitted a scientific survey report on the dispute site of Bhojshala- Kamal Maula Mosque to the Madhya Pradesh high court after conducting a 98-day study on it. The ASI's survey followed a directive by the Madhya Pradesh high court. The controversy over the site arose when Hindus claimed it a Hindu religious site citing the Vagdevi (Goddess Saraswati) temple inside the complex, while Muslims staked claim over the site citing the Kamal Maula Mosque in its complex. The ASI has earlier made an arrangement in which Hindus were allowed to worship at the Vagdevi temple every Wednesday, while Muslims were permitted to offer namaz at the mosque on every Friday, to resolve the issue.
