Mumbai: The Bombay high court on Thursday issued a notice to the Maharashtra govt and sought a reply to a petition that has challenged the govt's decision to withdraw the 5% reservation for the Muslim community in educational institutions and public employment.A bench of Justice Riyaz Chagla and Justice Advait Sethna ordered the state to file its affidavit-in-reply to the petition by the end of the month and said it will hear the petition on May 4.
