Hyderabad, Apr 2 ( PTI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday said the 99-day special programme of development works planned by the state government will be carried out like a "movement" to address people's issues from village level to state level. He said officials should ensure speedy clearance of pending files, transparency in decisions and cleanliness in offices as part of the programme that began on March 6. Based on its 'Telangana Rising 2047' vision document, the state government aims to make the state "number one" not only economically but as per other parameters, he said in a message. The chief minister's message was read out by officials in 'Gram Sabhas' conducted on Thursday as part of the 99-day action plan. Observing that the state government has completed two years and three months in office, Reddy said that the government was working without compromise in ensuring development and welfare across the state, despite the challenges on the economic front and by correcting the mistakes of the previous BRS regime. The support extended by people in the form of victory to the ruling Congress-backed candidates in Gram Panchayat and municipal elections increased the government's responsibility, he said. The government's welfare schemes, including Rs 500 LPG cylinder for the poor, free power up to 200 units, new PDS ration cards, and distribution of fine variety rice through the PDS, should reach every eligible beneficiary during the 99-day programme, he said. Observing that the 99-day programme will not be a routine exercise but a resolution of the state government, the chief minister said that every Telangana citizen should become part of it. PTI SJR ADB
