Thunderstorm alert in most parts of Maharashtra on April 2 and 3: IMD

Mumbai, Apr 2 (PTI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms in several parts of Maharashtra, except Mumbai, on Thursday and Friday. An orange alert has been issued for Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Beed, Jalna, Pune and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Thursday. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the entire Vidarbha region, western Maharashtra and Konkan, except for Palghar, Mumbai, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur. For Friday, an orange alert has been issued for Parbhani and Hingoli, while Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Ahilyanagar, Beed and Jalna also remain under the same category. Dhule, Nashik, Pune, Solapur and several districts in Marathwada and Vidarbha have been placed under a yellow alert.
