Bokaro: The district administration has intensified its efforts to curb tuberculosis (TB) with a renewed focus on early detection and patient support.The deputy commissioner (DC) Ajay Nath Jha emphasised the need for large-scale screening in high-risk areas. He directed the health department to conduct extensive TB testing under the Ayushman Arogya camps, particularly in identified vulnerable regions, including Bermo block."The aim is to ensure early identification of suspected patients and timely initiation of treatment," said the DC.In a significant push to improve the nutritional status of TB patients, the administration has decided to strengthen the 'Nikshay Mitra' campaign.The DC announced that letters will be issued to all departments, urging officials, employees and responsible citizens to come forward and contribute by providing nutrition kits to TB patients.
