Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B Mahesh Kumar Goud has claimed that the BRS is indirectly supporting the BJP in the upcoming MLC elections, similar to their actions during the last Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that the BRS has formed a covert agreement with the BJP to undermine the Congress in the MLC elections due to their inability to present candidates. Goud made these remarks after attending the nomination rally for party candidate V Narender Reddy, representing the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates' Constituency in Karimnagar on Monday (February 10). Targeting the BJP, he accused its leaders of gaining political advantage through divisive tactics. He stated, "The BJP MPs from Telangana have utterly failed to secure the state's rightful share in the Union budget. They brought back a 'Gadida Guddu' (Donkey's egg), which is essentially a 'big zero'." He urged the public to hold BJP leaders accountable when they come asking for votes. The TPCC president emphasized that the Congress government created over 55,000 jobs in its first year and achieved record investments along with a significant caste census, among other notable initiatives under Indiramma Rajyam. He encouraged party members to work tirelessly to ensure a resounding victory for their candidate in the MLC elections on February 27.
