Bhopal, Apr 1 (PTI) Combine harvesters used for agricultural purposes will now be exempted from toll payment at plazas operated by Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corp (MPRDC) as part of the state's commitment towards farmer welfare, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Wednesday. Numerous decisions are being taken in the interest of agriculturists to realise the vision of "Prosperous Farmers, Prosperous State" in the Farmer Welfare Year 2026. As part of pro-farmer initiatives, combine harvesters used for agricultural purposes will now be exempted from toll charges at MPRDC plazas, he said.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched an investigation into three cases of violence in Manipur, including the abduction and killing of six women and children from the State's Jiribam district on November 11.
