Gurugram, Apr 1 (PTI) A 30-year-old nurse was allegedly raped, blackmailed and pressured to convert on the pretext of marriage in Nuh district, police said on Wednesday. The survivor works in Delhi and has been residing in the Nuh district since last year. According to her complaint, the accused, identified as Sahil, lured her into a relationship between September last year and March against her will, by promising to marry her. The woman also accused Sahil of assaulting her, extorting money and blackmailing her with objectionable videos. He allegedly also pressured her to convert. An FIR was filed at the Nuh city police station on Tuesday against the accused, his father and brother, all residents of Palwal district, the police said. The case invokes relevant sections of the BNS and the Haryana Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act, 2022, they added. "We are investigating the matter, considering all aspects. Further action will be taken as per the law based on the evidence. The accused will be arrested soon," a police spokesperson said. PTI COR SMV PRK
