Pune: Travel on major highways connecting Pune will become costlier from April 1, as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a three per cent increase in toll rates. The new rates will apply to key routes, including Pune-Kolhapur, Pune-Solapur and Pune-Nashik. From the same date, toll collection will also become fully cashless. Commuters will no longer be able to pay in cash at toll plazas. Payments will be accepted only through FASTag and UPI.
