Mumbai, April 1: Oracle began a round of layoffs on March 31, affecting thousands of employees globally as the company restructures to support its heavy investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure. Among those let go was Dan Williams, who had spent 25 years at the software giant. In a LinkedIn post published shortly after receiving his termination email, Williams described the sudden news and offered a message of resilience to fellow colleagues facing the same situation. Williams, whose LinkedIn profile identifies him as a longtime Oracle staffer, wrote that he woke up to an email informing him his employment had ended. "Today I woke up to the news that I am no longer an employee of the company I worked for, for 25 yrs," he posted.
