Mumbai, March 31: A 76-year-old British national, Ian Williams Langford, who was working as a broadcast engineer for the Indian Premier League, was found dead in his room at the Trident Hotel, police officials confirmed. Langford had been in India to assist with the ongoing IPL match coverage and had checked into the hotel on March 24. According to authorities, Langford returned to his room on the night of March 29 after covering the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium. The following day, hotel staff attempted to contact him, but there was no response despite repeated calls to his room. Concerned over the lack of response, hotel staff used a master key to enter his room. They discovered Langford lying on the floor.
