VISAKHAPATNAM: In a brutal act, a 29-year-old Navy employee, Chintada Ravindra, allegedly murdered a woman, chopped her body into pieces, burnt some parts including the head, and stored the remaining in his refrigerator at LV Nagar under Gajuwaka police station limits in Visakhapatnam on Sunday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Polipalli Mounika (31), a Dalit unmarried woman from Sanjeevayya Colony at Thatichetlapalem in Visakha-patnam. The accused, Chintada Ravindra (29), a Petty Officer, is a resident of LV Nagar, Gajuwaka, in Visakhapatnam and a native of Rajam in Vizianagaram district. Navy man confesses to woman's murder Speaking to TNIE, Gajuwaka Circle Inspector Pardha Saradhi Alahari said the incident took place at Ravindra's residence in LV Nagar, where he lured Mounika to his apartment while his wife was away at her parents' home. A heated argument broke out between them, during which Ravindra allegedly killed her on Sunday at around 1 pm. Investigations revealed that Ravindra came into contact with Mounika in 2021 through a dating app, 'Mingle App', and they developed a relationship. During this period, Mounika allegedly started demanding money from him and, over time, collected around '3.5 lakh. It is further alleged that she threatened to disclose their relationship to his wife.
