Bhopal, Mar 30 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday said that only those with a spirit of service can succeed in politics, while "personal ambitions" adversely impact the democratic system. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the two-day conference of young MLAs from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan held in the state assembly here. Stressing the need for humility, dignity, and discipline in politics, he said, "Public representatives need to be sensitive to people's problems, be studious, skilled in stress management, and work with complete dedication for the good of the people. A public representative's behaviour when faced with a problem and his management skills in resolving it reflect his personality." Legislators should think and work beyond party differences, he said, adding that people entering politics for personal ambitions adversely impact democratic values and the system.
