New Delhi: India's industrial production grew 5.2 per cent in February 2026 as compared to 4.8 percent (Quick Estimate) in the month of January 2026. The jump was mainly due to improvement in manufacturing sector, according to the government official data released on Monday. The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation released a statement, which mentioned that the factory output, measured in terms of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), rose by 2.7 per cent in February 2025. The National Statistics Office (NSO) revised the industrial production growth for January 2026 to 5.1 per cent. It had released the provisional estimate of 4.8 per cent in March 2026. The manufacturing sector's output growth jumped to 6 per cent in February 2026, while it was recorded at 2.8 per cent in the year-ago month.
