Noida, March 30: A 21-year-old BTech student died after allegedly jumping from the 28th floor of a high-rise residential building in Noida's Sector 32 in the early hours of Sunday, police said. Preliminary findings suggest the incident occurred shortly after she was scolded by her parents over an undisclosed issue. According to police, the student jumped from the balcony of her family's apartment in a Wave Amore Society under the Sector 24 police station limits. She was declared dead at the scene. Officials said the incident took place late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination as part of standard procedure. Initial investigation indicates that the student may have taken the step after being reprimanded by her parents. The exact reason for the scolding has not been disclosed.
