Chandigarh, Mar 12 (PTI) Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday condemned the attack on National Conference supremo Farooq Abdullah. Abdullah, 88, had a narrow escape when a gunman allegedly opened fire at him from behind while he was leaving a marriage function at Greater Kailash on the outskirts of Jammu on Wednesday night. "It is an incident that raises concern. By the grace of God, he had a narrow escape," Hooda told reporters here. SAD chief Sukhbir Badal also condemned the attack. "Shocked to learn of the cowardly attempt on Uncle Farooq Abdullah's life yesterday. Thankfully, he is safe and unharmed," Badal said in a post on X.
