New Delhi: The Election Commission has released the draft voter lists for some states, including West Bengal, after a special intensive revision. The draft list for West Bengal shows the removal of over 58 lakh voters' names. This includes deceased, transferred, and duplicate voters. Lists for Rajasthan, Goa, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep have also been released. According to official reports, after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) conducted in West Bengal from November 4 to December 11, the names of 58,20,898 people have been removed from the draft voter list. This has reduced the total number of voters in the state from 7,66,37,529 to 7,08,16,630. In Rajasthan, approximately 42 lakh voters have also been removed from the voter list.
