Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state government has today released Rs. 380 crore for Bajra-producing farmers under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. He said prosperity in the state is not possible without the prosperity of farmers, and therefore, farmers' welfare remains the top priority of the government. Farmers are provided subsidies on agricultural machinery from sowing to harvesting. In case crops are damaged due to natural calamities, provisions for compensation and crop insurance are in place. After harvesting, arrangements have been made for procurement of every grain of produce, and payments are transferred directly into farmers' bank accounts. The Chief Minister was addressing office-bearers of the Kisan Morcha at his official residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, here today. On the occasion, OSD to the Chief Minister Sh. Bharat Bhushan Bharti, BJP State President Sh. Mohan Lal Badoli, State General Secretary (Organisation) Sh. Phanindranath Sharma, State General Secretary Sh. Surender Poonia, State General Secretary Dr. Archana Gupta, Kisan Morcha State President Rajbala, along with other senior office-bearers were present. The Chief Minister urged the office-bearers of the Kisan Morcha to motivate farmers across the state to adopt micro-irrigation, stating that it would not only conserve water but also reduce cultivation costs for farmers. He said that all 24 crops of farmers are now being procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP). So far, Rs. 1.64 lakh crore has been deposited into the bank accounts of 12 lakh farmers against crop procurement. He added that the government stands firmly with farmers during times of disaster and, over the past 11 years, Rs. 15,728 crore has been disbursed as compensation for crop damage. To make crop procurement more convenient, the "Meri Fasal Mera Byora" portal has been launched. Through this portal, farmers can sell their crops and also avail financial assistance for fertilizers, seeds, loans and agricultural equipment from the comfort of their homes. The Chief Minister informed that for crop losses due to natural calamities during the Kharif season 2025, compensation amounting to more than Rs. 116.51 crore has been released to 53,821 farmers. He said the present government has completely abolished the Abiana system that had continued since British times. Not only this, outstanding arrears of Rs. 133.55 crore related to past Abiana dues payable by farmers have also been waived. He added that the government has increased the sugarcane price to Rs. 415 per quintal, which is the highest in the country. Sharing other farmer-friendly decisions, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that 108 mandis in the state have been connected to the e-NAM portal for online sale of crops. Asia's largest modern apple, fruit and vegetable market has been established at Pinjore. Under the Haryana Operational Pilot Project, land improvement has been carried out on 1,54,985 acres across the state. He said under the Natural Farming Scheme, verification of 19,723 farmers has been completed for adopting natural farming over 31,873 acres. Under this scheme, assistance of Rs. 75 lakh has been provided to 2,500 farmers at the rate of four drums per farmer, and Rs. 1.30 crore has been transferred directly to farmers' bank accounts as subsidy for the purchase of 523 indigenous cows. The Chief Minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Rs. 7,233 crore has been deposited into the bank accounts of 20.18 lakh eligible small and marginal farmers at the rate of Rs. 6,000 per year. He added that under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, more than 33.51 lakh farmers have so far received Rs. 9,127 crore as insurance claims. He further informed that recently, the One-Time Settlement Scheme was launched to resolve the issue of overdue loans of farmers with PACS. Under this scheme, interest amounting to Rs. 2,266 crore of 6,81,182 farmers and poor labourers has been waived. Additionally, under the same scheme, interest and penalty worth Rs. 1,314 crore of 4.10 lakh farmers have also been waived. Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that farmers are being provided subsidies ranging from Rs. 9,800 to Rs. 22,750 per biogas plant, while Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers are given subsidies ranging from Rs. 17,000 to Rs. 29,250 per plant. Scheduled Caste farmers are provided 50 percent subsidy on battery-operated spray pumps, and farmers are given 75 percent subsidy for installing solar pumps. He said that the stamp duty on farmers' transactions with banks has been reduced from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 100. Under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana for vegetables and fruits, protected prices have been fixed for 21 horticulture crops, and more than 30,000 farmers have been provided Rs. 136.66 crore as price compensation. Bajra was also included under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana from the Kharif season 2021, and so far, farmers have been given more than Rs. 1,600 crore as Bajra price compensation. The Chief Minister said in line with Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi's vision of "Per Drop - More Crop", the Haryana Government is providing 85 percent subsidy on micro-irrigation systems to promote water conservation. He informed that under the Underground Pipeline Scheme, farmers are being given a subsidy of Rs. 10,000 per acre, up to a maximum of Rs. 60,000 per farmer, to ensure maximum irrigation with minimum water usage. Similarly, 85 percent subsidy is being provided under the Sprinkler Irrigation System. To realise the vision of "Har Khet Ko Pani", the Revised Watercourse Policy-2021 has been implemented. Under this, 1,144 watercourses have been identified by MICADA for rehabilitation, out of which work on 357 watercourses has already been completed. He also informed that a provision of Rs. 200 crore has been made for this work in the current financial year, and watercourses that are more than 20 years old will also be re-lined. The Chief Minister appealed to the office-bearers of the Kisan Morcha to ensure that the farmer-friendly schemes of the state government reach every farmer so that they can avail maximum benefits and increase their income.
