Bhubaneswar: With cyclone Montha set to unleash heavy to very heavy rain in several parts of Odisha, the district administration of Khurda on Monday declared holiday for two days for all schools and Anganwadi centres. An official order issued by the administration said that all schools and Anganwadi centres will remain closed across the district on October 28 and 29 as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of children and staff. Earlier, it was decided that all Anganwadi centres in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur will remain closed October 28 and 29 in view of adverse weather conditions likely to be caused by the impending Cyclone Montha.
