Delhi: A woman killed her partner in Delhi's Gandhi Vihar with the help of her former lover and a mutual friend. This case initially seemed to be an ordinary AC blast causing a fire accident. However, Delhi Police investigated the matter and made a shocking revelation. The case that was initially disguised as a normal fire accident later unfolded as a planned murder. The killing was carried out by three people. They included the live-in partner of the victim, her ex-boyfriend, and a friend. The lover of the dead revealed that the plan was executed to 'teach him a lesson'. The victim is a UPSC aspirant named Ramkesh Meena. The burnt body of 32-year-old Ramkesh was found at his apartment in Gandhi Vihar. Initially, the case was seen as a normal fire accident due to the air conditioner blast. However, the police investigation gave a turning point to the matter, revealing that Meena's partner had killed him with the help of two other individuals. The murder was committed by the live-in partner of Ramkesh, Amrita Chauhan, along with her former lover, Sumit Kashyap, and a mutual friend, Sandeep Kumar. Amrita mentioned that she had been living with Ramkesh since May and got to know that he had recorded her private videos in a secretive manner. This led to her increasing rage. Seeking help from Sumit, her former lover, she planned the murder of Ramkesh Meena to 'teach him a lesson'. What did the officials say? The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North, Raja Banthia, mentioned that Amrita, Sumit, and Sandeep were seen entering and leaving the victim's flat in the CCTV footage. Some moments after their leaving, a loud sound was heard, which was initially confused with a normal blast. DCP said, "The CCTV footage showed two people, their faces covered, entering the building on the night of the incident. And there was a fire soon after the two walked out, which raised suspicion. Based on forensic findings, it became clear that this was a murder", adding, "The accused, along with her former lover reached the apartment and strangulated the victim. Then they poured ghee, oil and alcohol on the victim's body. Then with the help of another accomplice, they opened the valve of the gas cylinder to trigger the blast." Investigation by the police: The police revealed that during the investigation, they tracked the mobile location of Amrita, which was near the blast. In addition, her call records made the speculations even clearer. The authorities conducted several raids in Moradabad to arrest Amrita. After being detained on October 18, she confessed to murdering her partner with the help of Sumit and Sandeep. Amrita had a background in forensics that helped in disguising the crime as an accident. The police retrieved a hard disc, a trolley bag, Meena's shirt, and two mobile phones from her. Amrita, Sumit, and Sandeep are still under the custody of the police, with an investigation ongoing.
