Udaipur: Effective measures including blockades, patrolling, and raids have been implemented as part of a special preventive campaign to curb the illegal manufacturing, storage, transportation, and sale of liquor during the Diwali festival in the state. Actions have been taken across various districts, including Udaipur, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Alwar, and Anupgarh, resulting in the registration of cases.Excise Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate, has directed excise enforcement teams to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against liquor smuggling from other states, illegal transportation, and sale.In Jaipur, operations in rural areas such as Trilokpura, Bassi Sindoli, Faliyawas, Sakhchandji ki Dhani, Sambhariya, and Lisadiya Guda led to the seizure of 52 litres of illicit liquor and a motorcycle. Additionally, a blockade was set up on Agra Road, resulting in intensive vehicle searches.In Udaipur, intensive searches of light and heavy vehicles at Kherwada toll plaza on Ahmedabad Road, Dakan Kotda toll plaza, and Keer ki Chauki toll plaza was carried out.Sriganganagar saw patrolling and raids in Khat Labana village, leading to the destruction of 2,700 litres of wash and eight crude distilleries.In Hanumangarh, excavation efforts in Gangaghat Amarpur Thedi village resulted in the destruction of 6,500 litres of fermented wash and eight crude distilleries. Additionally, 30 litres of illegal liquor were seized from a motorcycle, and a blockade was established at Naka Nohar Palu Road.Anupgarh's excise enforcement squad seized 73 litres of illegal liquor and destroyed 400 litres of wash and five distilleries. Five cases were registered, and one individual was arrested.Alwar's Ramgarh area witnessed actions against illicit liquor, resulting in the destruction of 2,500 litres of wash and three distilleries, alongside the registration of two cases.In Bikaner, blockades were set up at Bharatmala Highway Lunkaransar and Rasisar toll plaza Nokha area, leading to the seizure of 288 quarts of country liquor in Bikaner city.Commissioner Nakate emphasized that blockades and intensive patrolling are ongoing across all districts under the special preventive campaign. All Additional Excise Commissioners, Deputy Excise Commissioners, Excise Officers, Excise Inspectors, and Excise Enforcement Squads continue to enforce the zero-tolerance policy against illegal liquor activities.

Noida: Liquor revenue in the city jumped by 35% in the first quarter of 2025-26 compared to the same period last year.
