This act of firing was carried out in self-defense to neutralize the deadly threat posed by the armed assailant. It corroborates the earlier statements made by City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, who had also described the firing as an act of self-defense. The injured suspect, Omar Ansari, has since been identified as a rowdy sheeter and is receiving medical treatment under police custody. The investigation is now focused on tracking the two accomplices who escaped and analyzing CCTV footage to build a comprehensive case. (Maxim News)
