Hyderabad, Oct 24 (UNI) Following an overwhelming response from unemployed youth, the Huzurnagar Mega Job Mela has been extended to two days, with elaborate arrangements made to accommodate the large turnout. The event, beginning on October 25, is expected to attract over 40,000 candidates and 275 companies from local, national, and international sectors. On Friday evening, Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy reviewed the arrangements at the venue, accompanied by senior officials from the District Employment and Training Centre (DETC) and staff from Singareni Collieries. Initially planned as a one-day event, the job mela was extended after 36,000 candidates registered by Friday evening, with projections showing the number could exceed 40,000. "The unexpected response reflects the confidence unemployed youth have in the Congress government," the minister said. "To ensure that no candidate faces inconvenience or pressure, we have extended the event to a second day." Uttam appealed to candidates to remain patient, assuring them that interviews would be conducted in a phased and systematic manner. "Everyone who has registered will get a fair opportunity. There is no need for any rush or anxiety," he stated. Highlighting the scale of participation, the minister said 275 companies have confirmed their presence. "It is a very positive development that so many companies have come forward to provide opportunities, especially in a remote and rural constituency like Huzurnagar," he noted.
