Hyderabad: A 65-year-old worker was bludgeoned to death allegedly by his son, plumber, near a lake at Muraharipalli near Medchal on Tuesday night. The victim was identified as Mohammed Nizamuddin, a native of Achaipalli village in Mulugu.On Wednesday, locals alerted the Medchal police about an unknown person lying dead near Muraharipalli tank behind Prajay Waterfront apartment. "Through our local inquiries, the victim's identity was established. The victim sustained multiple injuries on the forehead, knees, and legs. He died on the spot," Medchal inspector A Satyanarayana said.Police called the CLUES Team to the scene to collect forensic evidence. During the preliminary probe, police found that Nizamuddin left Gajwel on a moped to visit a finance office and did not return.Police also found that on Tuesday night, Nizamuddin consumed liquor with his elder son Sadak Pasha near Muraharipalli lake. "Pasha was harassing his father to dispose of their ancestral properties in Achaipalli. Sadak took 25,000 loan on his father's name and also mortgaged the family's silver wares. As Nizamuddin refused to sell properties and give money to Pasha, the latter was angry with him," a Medchal police officer said.Cops suspect that Pasha might have bludgeoned his father with a stone during an argument over the sale of property while consuming liquor on Tuesday night.Pasha is absconding and the Medchal police registered a case under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The body of the victim was sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
